Set in 17 acres of mature rhododendron woodland, our romantic treehouses for two offer quiet solitude in natural leafy surroundings, a dreamy sanctuary at any time of year.

It is a calming, magical self-catering experience, and there are only seven properties on the whole site.

Adults-only treehouses near Woodhall Spa

Treetop Hideaways is an adults-only treehouse retreat two miles from Woodhall Spa in Lincolnshire, set in 17 acres of private rhododendron woodland around two lakes. There are six elevated treehouses and one step-free lodge, each sleeping two adults, with a handmade king-size bed, an outdoor bath on the terrace, a log burner, a fire pit and a private rowing boat on its own mooring.

Choosing your treehouse

All seven properties are the same size and share the same layout and facilities. What changes is the aspect and the light. Kingfisher’s Perch and Owl Box face west for the evening sun and sunsets down the length of the lake. Robin’s Nest and Squirrel’s Drey face south-east and catch the sunrise on a bright terrace. Pheasant’s Roost and Cuckoo’s Nest take partial views of both, with Cuckoo’s Nest the most tucked away. Gate House Lodge sits at ground level with step-free ramped access, is the only property that takes a dog, and has its own private panoramic sauna over the lake. Planning a stay

Arrivals are on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, with a minimum stay of two nights. Check in any time after 3pm, or after 4pm at Gate House Lodge, and check out before 10am. A 25% deposit secures your booking and the balance is due three weeks before you arrive; stay four nights or more and you receive a 5% discount. Bed linen, towels, bathrobes, eco toiletries, a welcome hamper of local treats and a starter pack of logs, kindling and firelighters are all included. Gift vouchers start at £100.
